During a motorcade with his wife, the Governor of Texas, and his wife, Kennedy was killed, shot twice, once in the neck, then the fatal shot in the head. Even today the assassination is still one of the most debated events in American history, though the shooter was later identified as Lee Harvey Oswald, it is still unknown as to the conspirators who might have initiated this.
The conclusion was drawn by the warren commission after months of investigations, they labeled the shooter as Lee Harvey Oswald, his perch was on the sixth story of the Texas Book Depository. He was found approximately forty minutes after the initial shooting and resisted his arrest, opening fire with a pistol and killing one officer. Though he stated that he hadn’t fired the gun he was unable to plead his innocence nor be convicted of the accused crimes as he was shot and killed during a transport between the police.
